Day 2 — A New Thing
Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Some seasons feel dry.
Same routine, same worries, same tired feeling when you wake up.
Maybe work is heavy, money is tight, the house never seems to stay caught up, and you have stopped expecting anything to change.
It is easy to call that stuck — and to quietly believe this is just how it will stay.
This verse speaks to that very place.
God does His new things not only when life looks promising, but in the wilderness — in the dry, empty-feeling parts.
A way in the wilderness.
A river in the desert.
That means the place that feels most stuck may be the very place something new is beginning, even if you cannot see it yet.
Reset does not mean pretending everything is fine.
It means loosening your grip on the story that nothing will ever change.
Refocus on one small sign of life today, not the whole road ahead.
Rise in a small way: take one step you have been putting off — one honest conversation, one application, one tidy corner, one quiet minute to breathe and pray before the day pulls you in every direction.
You do not have to find the whole way through.
You only have to notice the first green shoot, and walk toward the light in front of you, one step at a time.
One small step for today: choose one dry place in your life — work, money worries, home, or simply how tired you feel — and take one small, hopeful step there today, even if it feels tiny.
